Paley Center is offering a first look AND talk with the talent and team behind the upcoming three hour filmed musical event that will be produced by Lionsgate and Allison Shearmur Productions. We get to see the romance of Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman and Johnny Castle during a summer vacation in the Catskills that I think will have all of us singing the songs from the original movie and era. Those lucky enough to score tickets to the premier screening will have a chance to hear from Abigail Breslin, Bruce Greenwood, Nicole Scherzinger, Colt Prattes, and Katey Sagal just before the ABC Television Network TV premiere on May 24. We get to play the game as we get to know Javier, his family and Clementine all trying to survive the Zombie scourge plaguing the world. As they explore the Walking Dead Universe they will get to meet new and old characters from Comic Books/TV. One familiar face will be Jesus and a few others that you have to wait to see when the games are released! As they leave the ‘safety’ of their home and see what the ‘New Frontier’ means .. I’m going out on a limb and say ZOMBIES <scream>
The new series will have episodes and the first two will premier digitally worldwide starting Tuesday, December 20th on PC from the Telltale Online Store, Steam and other digital distribution services. Also on Xbox Games Store for Xbox One® and on the PlayStation®Network for PlayStation 4. The episode will be available the same day for compatible iOS devices via the App Store and for compatible Android-based devices via Google Play. Just before Powerpuff Girls new episodes premier on CN they’ve added more PUFF to your life! Yes, you may transfer your paid ticket to someone else after purchase. Complimentary tickets given to celebrity guests, contest winners, etc. are non-transferrable.
I bought multiple tickets but I’m giving some away as gifts. Do I need to change the name on all of them?
We’re only checking IDs for complimentary passes given to press and special guests, so if you buy multiple tickets you can leave your name on each one if you’re not sure who you’re bringing. However, each ticket can be scanned at registration only once, so make sure you only share the ticket with its rightful owner.

This is a Geek Gift to be promised over the holiday season since it will not be released until April but it’s one gorgeous gift for any Star Wars or Al Williamson fan. IDW will be releasing the late artist Al Williamson’s Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back stories in 2016. The collection will include issues #39 – #44 of the monthly Marvel Star Wars Comic, Star Wars #50, #98 and the Star Wars: Return of the Jedi mini series will be included.
The Artist’s Edition will be 160 pages in hardcover (14×21) perfect for display or just for someone’s collection of art books.
“Al loved drawing Star Wars,” said Williamson’s wife, Cori Williamson. “It’s a science fiction swashbuckler, the kind of story that really appealed to his sensibilities. As a lover and collector of classic comic-book and comic strip art, I think he would have been thrilled to see his work presented in this format.”
George Lucas commented after Williamson’s passing in 2010, “I was thrilled to be able to have Al depicting those early extended Star Wars adventures for the comic books and newspapers. In capturing the actors who portrayed the characters, he brought the feeling of the films to the page as few other artists have been able to do.”
You may not know Al William’s name but if you love comic books/graphic novels you’ve seen his work starting back in 1950 with EC Comics. In the 1960s he took Alex Raymond’s classic comic strip creation Flash Gordon to the comic book with his iconic reimagining. He also worked on comic strips that included X-9: Secret Agent Corrigan and the Star Wars newspaper strip. His work earned him an Eisner Award and he was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic-Book Hall of Fame in 2000.

Brewery Ommegang & HBO show Game of Thrones – Iron Throne Blonde Ale and Take the Black Stout
It’s the rerelease of the first two brews in the collaboration series not seen since King Joffrey’s wicked reign! This is a great addition for anyone who wants to play the Game of Thrones aka who will rule the Seven Kingdom. Brewery Ommegang‘s beer finder will show retail and bar locations by zip code when the beers come to market.
Iron Throne Blonde Ale has a slightly hazy golden amber hue. The head is full and fluffy. The finish is crisp, backed by a touch of spice and hops. The aroma is a bit grassy with a hint of lemon fruitiness from the lemon peel. The taste is lightly malty, rounded by honey malt sweetness. Iron Throne Blonde Ale is 6.5% ABV.
Take the Black Stout is deep black in hue, with a full tan head. Aromas include dark chocolate, caramel malt, earthy hops, and a touch of fruitiness. Tastes include chocolate, dark coffee, and rich malt character. The beer has light, balanced roastiness aroma and taste. The clean hop bitterness converges with a slight woody character and spiciness. The finish offers sweet malt character giving way to spicy, earthy, hop bitterness. Take the Black Stout is 7.0% ABV.
This is a major treat since Iron Throne Blonde Ale was released in 2013 and brewed at only 25% of the volume of the most recent beer the Three-Eyed Raven, which hit stores this spring timed to Season 5 of the show. Bottle shops across the country sold out in days, while bars poured through kegs in hours. Take the Black Stout was brewed at twice the volume of Iron Throne and still sold out quickly. Fans who missed out on both of these popular brews, and those who can’t wait to try them again, will finally have a chance this fall.
