The future is now and Hero Complex Gallery has one final 2017 timed release for Drew Struzan’s Back to the Future artwork screen print. HCG used scans of the original painting to create the perfect print with close consultation and approval of Drew to make sure it looks like the original poster from the beloved trilogy. I remember seeing the first Back to the Future and falling in love with not only Marty and the Professor but the DeLorean! Those gull wing doors, the color and the crazy future that seemed so far away I wasn’t sure we’d even make it! Sadly I was never able to buy my dream car or travel to the future and the past but at least fans from across the world can now own a piece cinema history with the limited edition print. A lucky few will even have the print signed by Drew Struzan himself! This poster design will always bring back memories of not only seeing the movie as a kid in Davenport, IA but also my hopes for the future. So mark your calendar for the timed release and get your card ready for the perfect addition for any collector and an ideal Valentine Day gift to the love of your life, BFF, mom, dad or what the heck YOURSELF!

Relive the 80s at the Paley Center for Media and celebrate The Goldbergs (ABC) on October 17, 2017 with a screening, panel conversation and audience Q&A with the cast and creative team.
PaleyLive Fall 2017 season welcomes fans of the ABC series The Goldbergs. Fans of the series enjoy laughing on the series based on creator Adam F. Goldberg’s childhood memories from his families videotaped home movies. The series has delighted fans reliving their own memories and also showing current generation how people survived without a cellphone and twitter.
ABC’s The Goldbergs 100th episode will go where no series has gone before with the ultimate geek debate Star Trek vs Star Wars. The episode is called ‘Trek Wars’ and Adam (Sean Giambrone) is sure he’s found his soulmate in girlfriend Jackie (Rowan Blanchard), but he’s stunned when their first Halloween together reveals that she’s a Star Trek fan while he’s devoted to Star Wars. The ultimate geek dispute may be a hurdle their relationship cannot overcome.
The episode will be directed by Back to the Future alum Lea Thompson who returns to direct her second episode set to air Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
“The Goldbergs perfectly captures those fun and crazy days of Pacman, big hair, and Rubik’s Cube,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center’s President & CEO. “This program promises to be an evening of nostalgia and laughter, and is one of the many reasons why PaleyLive programs are the premier experience for both the public and industry professionals.”
The Paley Center proudly welcomes the cast and creative team including: Wendi McLendon-Covey (“Beverly Goldberg”), George Segal (“Pops Solomon”), Sean Giambrone (“Adam Goldberg”), Haley Orrantia (“Erica Goldberg”), Troy Gentile (“Barry Goldberg”), Adam F. I’m all in for the new original Viki series Dramaworld premiering April 17th. I had the opportunity to interview Liv Hewson (Claire) and Sean Dulake (Joon Park) and briefly chat with Chris Martin (Director/Writer) and Sebastian Lee (Producer). Sean Dulake and Chris Martin worked on creating an original series that would appeal to the passionate fans of Viki from across the world. From that dream Dramaworld was born! It’s a ultimate love letter to anyone who’s a major fangirl or fanboy of a TV or Movie. You know the person who is consumed and lives to talk about their favorite rather you want to hear about it or not!
The funny series is a show within a show. Claire is a major fangirl of Joon Park a K-Drama star who she follows in every series he stars in and she’s currently consumed with ‘Taste of Love‘ a distraction from her real life of being a student who works PT in the family business. Through a zany mishap she’s transported into ‘Dramaworld‘ where she meets a fanboy played by Justin Chon (Seth) who’s a helpmate aka instagator to make sure each series goes according to plan. Boy meets girl, mishaps conspire to keep them apart and finally boy gets girl (or girl gets boy .. I am a feminist). But the meat of Dramaworld is that Taste of Love is off center and it’s not going according to plan. So it’s up to our stars to realign the stars so that love can bloom.
I was able to see the first two episodes and it’s the perfect blend of whimsy, humor and soap opera drama that transcends language (don’t worry they have subtitles). I don’t want to give anything away but it all makes sense with little throwaway lines explaining how everyone can understand each other despite speaking different languages, how Claire got to Dramaworld and it’s different than the real world.
The cast said that it was inspired by a love of Back to the Future or that it’s Narnia with the wardrobe transporting the hero to another world but I think of it as a mix of Pleasantville and Nurse Betty come to mind for me but other than that it’s a really original concept that nobody has done right in a long time.
If your in Los Angeles and got tickets for the Dramaworld premier Saturday, April 16th at the Ace Hotel Theatre than make sure you say ‘hi’. If you didn’t get your tickets it’s sold out so you’ll have to watch me interviewing cast on periscope and streamup (Cherry_LA). You’ll be able to enjoy the new Viki series on Sunday.
What is the most exciting — and most terrifying — thing that can happen to a K-drama fanatic?Claire Duncan is a 20-year-old college student who finds her real life boring. Maybe that’s because she’s never looking up, instead having her nose buried in her smartphone and watching her favorite Korean drama, “Taste of Love,” starring her favorite actor Joon Park (Sean Dulake). Joon Park plays the hot chef and protagonists in “Taste of Love” who is still waiting for his one true love to come into his life. Through a touch of the supernatural and a sprinkle of magic, Claire’s desire to shed her own boring life and live in the world of “Taste of Love” comes true when she is transported into her favorite drama and comes face-to-face with Joon Park! There, Claire also meets the mysterious waiter Seth Ko, who made his own journey into the drama years ago from the real world and mentors Claire on how to navigate the drama world. When the appearance of Claire throws “Taste of Love” off-balance, causing other dramas to splice into the series, what kind of crazy adventure will Claire experience? “Dramaworld” is a 2016 Viki original series, produced in partnership. Set in Los Angeles and Seoul, the first-ever American-Korean mashup series is written by Josh Billig and Chris Martin and directed by Chris Martin.
