What I’m talking about
I can’t believe it’s the final season of Star Wars Rebels! The one-hour premier episode ‘Heroes of Mandalore: Parts One and Two’ is this Monday, October 16th. The fourth and final season of “Star Wars Rebels” will have five airings of the “Heroes of Mandalore: Parts One and Two” throughout the day (12:30am, 3:00am, 7:30am, 5:30pm and 9pm EDT/PDT) on Disney XD and the DisneyNow App.
Sabine is back to rescue her father from the Empire but this time she has Ezra, Kanan, and she’s leading an army of Mandalorians! But the Empire has resurrected a devastating weapon to use against the rebels and Sabine is torn between destroying or using it to fight them.
Before season four begins, binge-watch seasons one through three of “Star Wars Rebels” available now on the DisneyNow App.
Do you think our rebels will save Sabine’s father and keep her army united to fight the empire? Who’s your favorite villain or rebel? Leave a comment below and live tweet with me this Monday!
The final and fourth season of Star Wars Rebels will premier Monday, October 16th on Disney XD
Well in the final season the Ghost crew joins the Rebel Alliance that is having a hard time against the enormous and powerful Galactic Empire. It becomes even more personal for Ezra as the Empire threatens Lothal with Imperial Occupation. The entire crew goes back to fight an all foe the evil genius Grand Admiral Thrown. Going home means that they will reunite with old friends and make new alliances to try to throw the Imperials off his home planet.
What do YOU think is in store for our ragtag crew of rebels? I’m hoping that we’ll see more of Kanan & Hera’s relationship (I read the book about how the met <swoon>). I don’t think that Sabine will never stop thinking of Ezra as her ‘kid brother’ but I don’t think we’ll get a Princess Leia/Luke reveal that he’s REALLY her brother! I’m very excited about meeting some of the new characters and creatures in the final season. I love the alien creature we’ve met over the past three seasons on Star Wars Rebels and can’t wait to see what Dave and the team think up for the epic final season! Leave a comment below or tweet me @cherry_LA with what have been some of your favorite episodes, stories and characters! Let’s live tweet the premier episode and get ready to be on the edge of our seats as the final epic season unfolds. May the force be with you …..

I saw Rogue One and was intrigued by the Rebel Freedom Fighter Saw Gerrera played by Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker. I am very excited to get to know Saw better when he joins the Ghost Rebels Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Zeb and Ezra to fight the Empire.
“It’s an incredible honor to have Forest Whitaker play Saw in ‘Rebels,'” says series executive producer Dave Filoni. “Forest did a great job at capturing Saw in a way that is a bit mad, a bit crazed, a bit afraid, but also a bit sympathetic. He sees something coming, but no one will take action before it’s too late.”
If you are getting confused about what time period the Disney XD series fits in the Star Wars film history it’s a prequel to the new film Rogue One. Forest will be voicing Saw Gerrera (from the film) in the debut episode “Star Wars Rebels: Ghosts of Genesis, Parts One & Two” that premiers Saturday, January 7th (8:30-9:30 PM EST).
It’s very exciting to hear from Dave and the team behind the animated series that is enriching the Star Wars mythology! Dave’s work on Clone Wars and Rebels is such a labor of love from a fanboy who grew up to work with George Lucas. Dave’s work on the series is a bridge for not only the films but also to fans young and old. What I love about the series is that they give us an opportunity to delve into characters and stories that can unfold as only a weekly series can as opposed to a film with a finite amount of time.
The character of Saw Gerrera was first introduced in the TV series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” (2008-2015) as a guerrilla fighter for his home planet. Created by George Lucas, Saw received training from the Jedi – Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano – and served as an early harbinger of the Rebel Alliance, an assortment of disparate groups coming together to fight for a common cause.
Rebels are facing a new threat with Grand Admiral Thrawn when season 3 premiers Saturday, September 24th on Disney XD.
Ezra’s growing up as is his ability to use the force with the guidance of Kanan. But with great ability comes temptation and the siren call of the dark side is waging a war within Ezra’s soul as the third season has the team embarking on new responsibilities and danger. The rebels new base of operations on Atollon has given them some safety but they have a bullseye on their back with Grand Admiral Thrawn working to bring the crew of the Ghost and all the ‘rebel scum’ down. Unlike past enemies who used force and sheer numbers to try to eradicate the rebels they Grand Admiral instead plans to use his intellect to outthink the empire’s enemies.
Star Wars Rebels premier ‘Steps into Shadow’ will be an hour event introducing new enemies and (hopefully) friends to the universe. Ezra and Sabine are given more responsibility and challenges that will put them in grave danger. The entire rebel forces will have difficult choices aith an all out assault on the Empire! The crew of the Ghost will be challenged this season and (I for one) am hoping they’ll all stay safe and give the empire heck!
You can buy season 1 and 2 on DVD/Blu Ray to relive favorite episodes and catch up.

Am SO jealous of Star Wars Celebration Europe they got the news first that Tom Baker (Dr. Who) and Lars Mikkelsen (House of Cards) are joining Star Wars Rebels S3 as two new characters!
Tom Baker will join the cast as Bendu an powerful ancient that I HOPE is on the side of the Rebels and Grand Admiral Thrawn a Star Wars Legends fan favorite is going to be Lars Mikkelsen who’s bringing the evil!
The trailer looks like the rebels are going to have an even HARDER time this fall with the FLYING Stormtroopers!!!! <scream> nope that’s just Mandalorian’s that support the empire and we get to know Sabine Wren (Tiya Sirdar) better as she’s maturing into a leader with the rebel forces. Last season we got a little more history with her ‘sister’ bounty hunter hinting at a hard life growing up and now even more of her roots will be exposed showing (hopefully) what her art means to her and why she’s fighting against the empire. I mean Ezra (Taylor Gray)
has always looked like he’s so in touch with his anger and frustration that the dark side of the force was calling him but I thought he’d escaped the siren call but looking in his eyes I think that he’s still in danger of going Sith!
If you haven’t been enjoying Star Wars Rebels you can catch up with grabbing season 1&2 on sale now since the show takes interweaves new and beloved characters from the Star Wars Universe.
“Star Wars Rebels” Season 3 will debut this fall on Disney XD. You can follow @StarWars for the latest news on #StarWarsRebels, and check out StarWars.com for more exciting news on the series.
THE SEASON THREE TRAILER FOR ‘STAR WARS REBELS’ IS NOW AVAILABLE
Are you a Star Wars loving lego enthusiast? Well Disney XD’s new animated television show, LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures, is the show for you. It’s a 22 minute series voiced by Vanessa Lengies, Nicolas Cantu, Eugene Byrd, and Matthew Wood.
The Freemakers gives the audience a new story focused on a scavenger family, the Freemakers. They are a family of three, and the youngest member, Rowan, is extremely strong with the force. As many fans of the infamous series know, when a character is strong with the force the audience can expect multiple hi jinxes. It’s a new story, that doesn’t feature Leia and Luke Skywalker as the main protagonists. But original fan favorites are still featured; Luke and Leia made their first appearance in episode 5 and Darth Vader and Darth Sidious, formerly Palpatine, made their first appearance in episode 1.
The Freemakers salvage parts from destroyed or abandoned ships and use the parts to create new ones, that they then sale to earn a living. But when Rowan discovers an ancient artifact, the Kyber Saber, he discovers his connection to the force. He is then mentored by a seemingly good-intentioned jedi named Naare. This scavenger family is now in the middle of the battle between the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance. As there is a search for the Kyber Saber crystals where good and bad are compete to find the crystals. And all is not as it seems.
This show is very interesting and it captivates the audience’s attention from the first scene. All in episode one the viewer will discover so much, and there are multiple introductions of characters, ships, and themes. All in episode one the viewer will discover that Naare doesn’t have good intentions with Rowan and is actually with the Empire.
Overall this a great show and the visuals are what the audience should expect from a lego based television show. It stays true to what is expected from a show with such a strong fan base, it introduces new and old characters that viewers will come to love.
The next episode airs July 18 on Disney XD at 10:00 AM.

Spoiler Alert! The new mid season premier of Star Wars Rebels returns on Wednesday, January 20 (9PM ET/PT) on Disney XD.
*SPOILER ALERT* Here’s a New Mid-Season Trailer for “Star Wars Rebels”… I mean how can any Star Wars fan not <squeel> with Princess Leia, Yoda and Darth Vader expanding on the series as we explore the call of the dark side? If you have not been enjoying the series I say you’ve been missing out on a show that appeals to a fanboy/fangirl in a different way than my beloved Clone Wars. The decision to use a different animation style and new characters expands the universe. You don’t have to LOVE Star Wars to be a fan of the action packed series. The first season focused on introducing each character with unique backstories that didn’t feel like a blue print of the original or new trilogy. Instead they forged a new path that is a fun show for all ages. I know it’s on Disney XD so you may think it’s just for kids but once you watch the show you’ll see that it’s a truly all age series perfect to watch as a family or alone. So get ready to enjoy a series that has a darker feel than you’d expect from Disney XD but EXACTLY what you wanted as a Jedi!

BIG HEROES! BIG VILLAINS! AND BIGGER ADVENTURES this week, Share Your Universe with a brand new episode of MARVEL’S HULK AND THE AGENTS OF S.M.A.S.H. this Sunday at 8:00am/7:00c inside the Marvel Universe on Disney XD.
I’d like to introduce you to ….
I’ve always had a soft spot for Ghost Rider because of my Harley Davidson motorcycle love. It’s one of the characters that is visually so interesting and different than most Marvel characters. Now is your chance to see how he looks on the Disney XD series MARVEL’S HULK AND THE AGENTS OF S.M.A.S.H. Of course he’ll have the chain, the motorcycle, likely no helmut but his head is a skull so it’s OK! I find the S.M.A.S.H. team fascinating since it’s all the Hulks I grew up including the Hulkette aka She-Hulk (who’s a great female character with a rich backstory). Get up early or DVR the new episode tomorrow, Sunday, June 14th 8am/7c on Marvel Universe Disney XD ‘Spirit of Vengeance’ where Hulk clashes with Ghost Rider who want to make Red & Abomination pay for their past bad behavior!
While escorting Abomination to stand trial for his crimes, the Hulks runs into Ghost Rider, who has come to make both Abomination and Red atone for the wrongful deeds of their past in an all-new MARVEL’S HULK AND THE AGENTS OF S.M.A.S.H. airing Sunday, June 14 at 8:00am/7:00c in the Marvel Universe on Disney XD.

Who’s your favorite Hulk?
Life is good for geek fans of the Disney XD animated series Star Wars Rebels. The series finale ended with a growl when they introduced the ultimate big bad Darth Vader. Like fans the world and (am sure) the cosmos are wating on the edge of their couch. Happily I was one of the lucky legion of fans at the Star Wars Celebration 2015 in Anaheim where got to watch the season premier. The entire audiance was screaming over this episode that is taking our band of warriors into overdrive. I don’t want to give too much away but we get some major truth bombs about Kanan and the Clone Wars. We had gotten a few hints in the first season with his wanting to now open his heart, his inexeperience as a Jedi Master and why he’s still alive after the massacare!
Now some of you might still be a little mad that CN – Clone Wars ended so abruptly after George Lucas sold the whole kit and kaboodle to Disney. It made me wonder had the Empire really won the way! Happily the team is still fan boys and fan girls who approach every project with ‘What Would George Do?’ (WWGD) It is why as the fist season of Jedi went along with all of these new characters they were focused on allowing us to get to know them. You had to understand their story and WHY they are fighting the empire instead of hiding out and waiting for someone to save them. As Freddie Prinz Jr. said ‘Star Wars teaches you that the hero doesn’t always win and that no matter how hard you try sometimes you fail’.
What has Star Wars taught you? Leave a comment below….
Well I’ve been excited about Star Wars Rebels after getting a chance to interview some of the cast at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con. I was able to have exclusive interviews (roundtable with Steve Blum & Vanessa Marshall (Hera) with Zeb (Steve Blum), Ezra (Taylor Gray), Tiya Sircar (Sabine). So watching the first season I have to say I did compare the first episode to Star Wars Clone Wars since Dave Filoni (interview at 2012 SDCC) is still the executive producer/supervising director but once I stopped saying to myself well it doesn’t look like clone wars, it’s new people and why did it have to end <wahhh>!!! I quickly grew to love my hard scrabble rebels trying to jumpstart a rebellion all alone! I mean as a geek chick how could I resist a female pilot Hera who stands up to the boys and STILL takes it straight to the Empire. I love a woman who won’t back down and Vanessa really is able to bring a new voice to the Star Wars universe not only as an adult but also as a new ‘Han Solo’ type instead of the usual damsel in distress that is in most action toons and movies! As the season has gone on Dave has really taken the time to give the characters time to develop a backstory that plays into their personality. When we first meet Ezra he’s just a smart aleck kid who I thought was going to be a dark haired Luke. Than as you got to know him you realize he was on his own and had to be self sufficient in a cold hard world. Sabine is woman who wants to use art to get people thinking about everything that the Empire has taken from them as well as kicking some major bootie as she flys around like Boba Fett!
I’m so excited for the second season of Star Wars Rebels after a finale that blew me away!
Like lots of Star Wars Fans I’ve been watching the new series on Disney XD and with the season finale I was blown away. (SPOILERS) The introduction in the final moments of Darth Vader and getting to know the characters over the past months has been a huge pleasure. Now I get to anticipate Sarah Michelle Gellar joining the cast and I wonder if she’ll cause trouble between Kanan and his lady love pilot Hera! Will she join as a part of the new rebel alliance that we just met in the season finale OR will she instead be with the Empire intent on the destruction of the Rebels? Drama bomb!!!
All I can say is that I hope Sarah has some crazy lightsaber that will remind all of us fangirls and fanboys first meeting her as Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Hopefully she, the cast and director will be joining us at the Star Wars Celebration 2015 in Anaheim! I know that I want to ask what it will be like to work with Freddie Prinze Jr., (her husband) again. What it’s like to join the Star Wars Universe. Has she been to Skywalker Ranch. AND has she had a chance to get her hands on an original lightsaber! Squeal my geek fangirl inner nerd is starting to show! Is it wrong that I want to ask her about Buffy the Vampire Slayer since like any crazy fan I can’t help but wonder if she’ll visit the universe again. I have to say it’s unlikely but what can I say so many questions that I need to ask!
