Fall is fast approaching and tickets will go on sale for the upcoming 12th Annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews from September 6 – 16th in Beverly Hills. PaleyFest Fall TV Previews New York City fans will be able to enjoy free screenings from September 7 – 9th. This year the PaleyFest Fall TV Previews will have screenings, cast and creatives from ABC, CBS, the CW, Fox, History, Hulu, Lifetime, NBC, Netflix and Telemundo!

I’m a HUGE TV Fan so I always look forward to the PaleyFest Fall TV Preview. Over the years it’s given me a chance to ‘meet’ TV shows that I hadn’t planned to watch but after seeing the first first episode and hearing the cast/creators talk I am willing to give them a ‘test watch’ or sometimes an unexpected fan (I’m looking at YOU the CW Dynasty!). This year they have Netflix’s Bojack a animated series that is really good and has characters that I see reflected in myself despite not being a talking horse, dog or cat! As far as the new shows I’m curious about the Charmed (the CW) reboot with Latina flavor and the Rookie (ABC) since I have a weakness for police dramadies but am willing to give all the shows the networks selected to highlight a chance but not Last Man Standing (Fox) didn’t like it on ABC so am sure I won’t like the continuation with move to the new network.

“Every September television fans know PaleyFest Fall TV Previews is the place to be for a first look at the most buzz-worthy new shows of the fall TV season, and engaging conversation and insight from the cast and creative teams behind them,” said Maureen J. Reidy, the Paley Center’s President & CEO. “We’re honored to present this stellar lineup of new shows as well as several Emmy-nominated returning fan favorites.

The Paley Center is welcoming old favorites and new series that I’m interested in watching from major networks and streaming services. The PaleyFest Fall TV Preview with Netflix’s Atypical and BoJack Horseman, followed by screenings and discussions with the casts and creatives of Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman and Castle Rock; ABC’s The Kids Are Alright and The Rookie; The CW’s All American and Charmed; Lifetime’s YOU; History’s Project Blue Book; EPIX’s Get Shorty; NBC’s I Feel Bad; CBS’s The Neighborhood and Happy Together; Fox’s The Cool Kids and Last Man Standing; and conclude on September 16 with the cast and creative team from Telemundo’s Nicky Jam: El Ganador.

Event ImageWho’s excited about the new fall series coming to Fox? MEEEEE

Well if you are a TV nut like myself and are in Los Angeles you can attend the PaleyFest with sneak previews of the first episodes of some of the shows that have fanboys and fangirls pretty excited. Fox is bringing a slate that will compliment returning series as well as bringing new fans to the network with a mix of original series and movies inspired by classic films. I’m very curious about Pitch a series created by Dan Fogelman & Rick Singer starring Kylie Bunbury who’s character is the first woman playing major league baseball breaking the glass baseball diamond. I’m planning to catch the first episode to support a series that reminds me of my beloved Sleepy Hollow (namely a lead black actress not that it’s supernatural mystery). The other series that fans get to have a panel is Lethal Weapon from a movie franchise from the 80’s that I never thought would be rebooted as a TV series. It’s starring Damon Wayans, Sr. and Clayne Crawford in a buddy cop series that has to walk a fine line between humor and gritty cop drama. Damon has come far from his days as a comic and has turned in good performances over the years so the question will be if the two guys have the chemistry necessary to make the show work. Now as a geek the series that has me salivating is Son of Zorn that will join my Sunday Fox animation domination. From the moment I saw the snippets at San Diego Comic Con I felt it was a great addition to Sundays! The voices are great and the mix of live action with animation looks like such fun! I was hoping they’d have a panel but hopefully I’ll see them at Wondercon or SDCC next year! The Exorcist is closing out the Fox night and am not a horror or exorcist fan I must admit I’ve never seen the movie or any real desire it looks horrifying! Sadly I won’t be covering the red carpet but plan to watch all of the new shows!

Are you heading to PaleyFest Fox Night? Let me know in the comments below what show you are looking forward to seeing this fall either a returning favorite or a new show!

The Bob’s Burgers Burger Book Written by Loren Bouchard and The Writers of Bob’s Burgers, Contribution by Cole Bowden

This is the perfect gift for any Bob’s Burgers (Fox) or just burger fan that is available to order or pick up at brick and mortar bookstores. I was able to chat with creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard and executive producer Jim Dauterive at San Diego Comic Con this past summer where they mentioned the book release (sadly SOMEONE turned my mic off <boo hoo> so no audio). I recommend giving them the book with either a gift certificate to a new burger joint or with cooking implements, buns/bread and gift certificate for the grocery store or butcher to buy good beef or make vegetarian with beef substitute so that they try recipes themselves!

But it’s always a blast to talk with the the team and cast of my favorite adult/family friendly animated series.

I’m not shocked that the new season of Sleepy Hollow is bursting at the seams! When I interviewed the producers at San Diego Comic Con (click for youtube video) they dropped a few hints of what the writers had in store for the fans but DANNNGGGG I had no idea the twists and turns and manipulations evil will do to wreck havoc as they plot to bring hell on earth.

Now I’d watched the first season last year religiously never missing an episode and recording on my DirecTV recorder so they could be REWATCHED for clues. So imagine my surprise for the season opener where Abbie and Ichabod were the newest kickass buddy cop duo that had won the battle. I thought to myself that I must have missed an episode somehow. I was a bit upset but of course kept watching the chemistry between Abbie and Ichabod as they mourned the loss of the SMWLA Speakeasy Location: The Victorian (and Basement Tavern) in Santa Monica, family and love. I shed a bit of tear for his wife Katrina (no not really she’s standing between Abbie and Ichabod love ) and for Abbie’s kickass sister (love her! I’d be mad to if my sister threw me under the boss and got me committed!).

I don’t want to give away any major details for those who love to binge but it’s a doozy and will have you screaming once the twist does the big revel. My friend @scifimaven thought it was too busy and a bit confusing but I loved the many paths they laid out for fans. I’m sure some a false, half truths and a few will be major revelations.

My favorite is that Abbie and Ichabod will still be able to draw closer as they battle Moloch, that Katrina is a double agent with her first love Abraham Von Brunt aka Headless Horseman (can’t blame him I’d be eternally pissed if my fiancé ran off with my best friend!) and that Henry Parrish aka Sin Eater aka Jeremy Krane aka God of War (that’s a lot of AKA and evil in one guy!) is STILL up to no good all stemming from his Daddy/Mommy issues (join the club dude join the club!!!) bwa ha ha

I’m excited about the second season of Sleepy Hollow and if you haven’t been watching this supernatural procedural drama than get caught up!!!! Your missing out on a great show!

Leave a comment below with your fan love of what’s going to happen this year ….

Star Wars: Clone Wars PosterAs a total fanboy .. well fangirl it was really fun to interview Dave Filoni the director of Cartoon Network’s (CN) Star Wars: the Clone Wars.  I got the opportunity to ask him about the upcoming Season 5 of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series that’s scheduled to air in September of 2012 about what it’s like to work with George Lucas, being on the Skywalker Ranch of and of course projecting my own geeky curiosity.  I’m sure I’m not the only person who grew up loving Star Wars and fantasized about working for George Lucas .. well in my case BEING George Lucas able to create stories out of my dreams, characters that would move the story closer to my fantasy (Jar Jar NEVER existed!).  It was really fun chatting with him about growing up and into the man who’s helming Star Wars the Clone Was and I got a great interview which has been uploaded to cherrylosangeles @youtube.

Now for a lot of people you’ll have seen his work but may not know his name since he’s behind the camera.  First off he’s the director of the the 2008 feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars (animated) and the supervising director of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series on Cartoon Network.  He’s directed animated series on a variety of networks including Nickolodeon’s the Last Airbender, ABC’s the Oblongs, Fox’s King of the Hill and Disney’s American Dragon: Jake Long.
