Marvel is releasing the newest Star Wars comic book this December! Journey To A New Planet With STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI – STORMS OF CRAIT #1! Luke and Leia newest adventures!
A new adventure for Luke and Leia begins this December
This mini series will focus on fan favorite Captain Phasma and will introduce rogue archaeologist Doctor Aphra in a galaxy far far far away. The stories will keep fans excited about the new film as well as enrich Star Wars mythology. It’s written by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker (Star Wars: Join the Resistance) and Mike Mayhew (Star Wars, The Star Wars) is the artist as they explore the mineral planet Crait.
Fans will get to know Crait in Star Wars: the Last Jedi as the Resistance and First Order fight for dominance when the new film premiers this December. But that wasn’t the first time the planet was a battleground for the galaxy between the Empire and Rebels. Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa first led the rebellion to the planet as the searched for a new Rebel Alliance Base. This mini series will reveal earth chattering news and may cause you to look at the universe a little differently!

White, “Tying the new sequel series in more tightly with the original trilogy era, and helping make the Galaxy Far Away a little more fleshed out. The Bens are a great fit in for Star Wars, as they showed in Join the Resistance, and Mike has did such great work on both covers and the Obi-Wan issues of the flagship Star Wars title, that we couldn’t be happier to have him back doing art for us.”

Calling all Star Wars fans you HAVE to go to the 2015 LA Auto Show for ONE reason! No not to look at cars (well you have to look at cars!) but no the the most important reason ever is to see the Fiat 500e Storm Trooper Concept car on display (sadly at this time Fiat does not plan to release it as a special edition <waahhh>) inspired by the new ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens‘ opening December 18. While you count down the days to see the most anticipated movie this year you can get your Star Wars fix drooling over this car a collaboration with Lucasfilm and FCA US as part of the promotional campaign of the film. I was very lucky to be able to briefly film the interior of the car and interview Bob Broderdorf, Fiat Brand Director North America!
From the first glance of the Fiat 500e you can see it’s inspired by the Empire’s First Order Stormtrooper’s new armor (tour of interior and exterior of car cherrylosangeles @youtube). The 500e is in black and white on the exterior from the tires to the hood with an attention to detail that is appealing to die hard and casual fans. But Fiat also kept it team Empire on the inside with custom front and rear seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara®. The entire interior has the ‘Star Wars’ logo and First Order insignia on the leather wrapped steering wheel, the black/white dashboard and that all of the Fiat emblems have been replaced with the Stormtrooper helmet. The Fiat 500e stormtrooper was created by Garage Italia Customs and they merged Italian style with Star Wars Geek Chic! Even Princess Leia wouldn’t mind being placed under ‘car arrest’ and driven around the death star <guffaw>.

NEW YORK, N.Y. (October 8, 2013) – Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, launched today its second annual “Sound Off For Autism Speaks. This exciting fundraising effort gives fans the opportunity to order a limited number of custom-recorded messages from Adam West, Bryan Cranston, Cher, Jack Black, Jim Parsons, Mark Hamill, Michael Dorn, Peter Dinklage, Vin Scully and Zachary Quinto in return for a $299 donation. All proceeds will support Autism Speaks’ research and advocacy efforts.

Celebrity messages are available for purchase for this week only, October 7 – 13, 2013. A limited number of messages are now available from each celebrity on a first come, first served basis. Fans have the unique opportunity to specify what they want their chosen celebrity to say in the message. Autism Speaks will send fans a digital file of their message once it has been recorded by their celebrity.
The inaugural Sound Off For Autism Speaks took place in December 2012, raising more than $100,000. The campaign was spearheaded by Ed Asner, whose son, Matt, serves as executive director of Southern California for Autism Speaks. In addition to Asner, participating celebrities included Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Carrie Fisher, Tom Hanks, Derek Jeter, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Patrick Stewart and Betty White.
Last year, I got together with Matt and we discussed what my friends and I could do to support the important work of Autism Speaks, said Ed Asner. We decided that bringing together a group of celebrities with great voices to do a kind of voiceathon would be a fun way to raise awareness and funds for the autism community. The campaign was such an overwhelming success and received so much positive feedback we had to do it again.
Autism is a general term used to describe a group of complex developmental brain disorders autism spectrum disorders caused by a combination of genes and environmental influences. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by communication difficulties, social and behavioral challenges, as well as repetitive behaviors. An estimated one in 88 children in the U.S. is on the autism spectrum a 78 percent increase in six years that is only partly explained by improved diagnosis.
