Peanuts is bringing tokidoki to
San Diego Comic Con
The Peanuts Pop-Up store will have limited edition prints, pins and tote bags from the artist Simone Legno of tokidoki and dozens of style visionaries featuring Snoopy & Belle. Fans of the iconic character will seem them in a whole new way.
Colleen Atwood paid homage to two of the films for which she won Oscars by transforming Snoopy into the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland and Belle into a Geisha girl from Memoirs of a Geisha.
The San Diego Comic Con debut of the traveling exhibition “Snoopy & Belle In Fashion” at a pop-up store in the Gaslamp district will feature 26 dolls selected from collection of 65 designs. The carefully curated collection of 10′ vinyl Snoopy & Belle dolls in mini-couture fashion will appeal to Peanuts fans, cosplayers (great style ideas) and those who love high fashion! The one-of-a-kind designs will be a huge hit and is free and open to the public.
“Snoopy & Belle in Fashion” premiered to the industry at New York Fashion Week in September of 2014 and ever since has crisscrossed the world with stops in Paris, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mexico City. The San Diego debut will be the first time the exhibit will be open to the general public and comic con attendees from around the world. It will travel to Brookfield Place in New York this September 2017.
The designers who have created custom couture for Snoopy & Belle include the leading lights in international fashion (designs included at Comic-Con are in boldface): Anna Sui, Ashley Biden x Livelihood, Barbara Tfank, Betsey Johnson, Bibhu Mohapatra, Calvin Klein Collection, Children of our Town, Christian Siriano, Colleen Atwood, Costello Tagliapietra, Cristiano Burani, DSquared2, Diane Von Furstenberg, DKNY by Donna Karan, Dries Van Noten, Emanuel Ungaro, Edwin Oudshoorn, Isaac Mizrahi, Isabel Marant, J. Am I the only one excited about the newest lipstick collection from M∙A∙C Cosmetics?
The introduction of MAC Liptensity with 24 new hues that are bursting with High-Frequency Tetrachromatic Pigments available online starting September 20th and in-store September 21st. These shades are perfect for anyone who’s all about the lips, the smile and the kiss! Maureen Seaberg is the woman that has the genetic ability to see up to 100 million hues imperceptible to most people and with that talent has worked with MAC to bring 24 delicious shades that compliment a variety of skin tones and hues. Looking at the colors I’m drawn to the various pinks since I’m always looking for a shade that won’t be ashy on my skin and be a dark non fuchsia/Barbie doll instead a Disney Princess where my lips will part and my teeth look super white. What shade has you ready to head online or to the nearest MAC counter to grab a delicious shade of your own? Let me know below and maybe we can be lipstick kiss buddies …

Have you seen this fundraiser coming up tomorrow night? It’s to benefit TLC a great group that’s helping kids. I plan to attend and hope that you’ll forward this to everyone you know.
Since the organization began almost 35 years ago, TLC (Therapeutic Living Centers/ www.tlc4blind.org) has worked to provide for the lifetime needs of babies, children, teens and adults who are blind and autistic and live in Southern California.
We are in the final stages of a Capital Campaign to build a preschool and center for our kids program (The Conrad Hilton Foundation gave $4.5 million, Ahmanson Foundation $250,000 and Keck Foundation $250,000!!). Our event goal is to raise the remaining $175,000 that is needed to begin building the preschool and children’s center, and help support our Early Intervention Program. We serve children from all areas of Los Angeles, as well as the Valley. Currently the only preschool for the children we work with is in downtown Los Angeles. I can’t imagine any three year old getting on a school bus from San Fernando to downtown Los Angeles…it’s even more frightening and sad to know that these children are not only autistic but cannot see — they have a visual disability too. The need is urgent.
I’m inspired by the kids we serve, their siblings, and their families every single day at TLC! No matter what challenges they are facing, their thankfulness for the help and support that they get lets me know that the work we do as an organization is invaluable…its life changing…it’s critical in giving these kids and their families hope for the future..and that’s why any help to publicize our event and cause would be incredible!!
