It’s always great to see a friend again so I ecstatic to see the new Hyundai Kona Iron Man Edition at San Diego Comic-Con. It’s the fan girl/boy SUV of your dreams as the Kona was reimagined in Iron Man iconic red and gold, a nod to the Iron Man Armor with exterior and interior design in the Kona Iron Man Limited Edition made to order crossover available for production in 2019.
“Seeing this car come to life is like wish fulfillment for so many of us,” said Mindy Hamilton, Marvel’s SVP of Global Partnerships & Marketing. “When you grow up reading comics, you dream of seeing that technology and those inventions become reality. We hope that everyone has just as much fun jumping into this one-of-a-kind vehicle as they would putting on the actual Iron Man suit of armor!”
I briefly spoke with Dean Evans about why they selected Kona to carry on the Marvel collaboration and when everyone can purchase the Kona Iron Man Edition to fight the ‘Green Goblin’ or personal arch nemesis (Gas Stations)! As you can see from the video the Kona Iron Man Edition has been inspired by the facemark and eye shape of the Iron Man Suit. It’s ‘Stark Industry’ made as can be seen from the door decals, the 18-inch alloy wheels with Iron Man Mask Center Caps (unique to this edition), and the exclusive Iron Man Red with matte gray. The interior of the crossover has numerous unique designs including an Iron Man shift lever knob, custom seat design, Tony Stark’s signature on the instrument panel, a head’s up display and center stack.

The outcome is a remarkable special edition that we’re sure will appeal to Marvel fans and SUV enthusiasts alike.”
The Kona Iron Man Edition is the latest project to emerge from the ongoing collaboration between Marvel and Hyundai. This summer, the all-new 2019 Veloster Turbo appears in Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp. That integration was accompanied by a fully integrated marketing campaign that included new commercials and an interactive sweepstakes offering fans a chance to attend a pre-release screening of the film.

The zombies are back and this fall with Black Ops 4 Zombies. It’s the 10th anniversary of Call of Duty Zombies and they are celebrating at Comic-Con. We get to meet new characters and three zombie playing levels that will have old and new fans ready to play. Everyone can play since it will be released on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC (available on Battle.net gaming platform) on October 12th. The multiplayer game experience in Black Ops brings characters, locations, weapons and gear from previous games as well as a new Battle Royale-inspired mode that looks crazy fun. The game has specialists with unique weapons/equipment for each one, able to better play as a team because the game is designed to combine specialists with abilities to strategically superior to individual play, the movements have evolved so combat is fast, fluid and is more grounded (no thrust-jumps or wall running) AND a new manual health system that allows players to choose when to regenerate health.
