Star Trek: Discovery Cast

Over 50 years ago, the world was first introduced to what would quickly become a cultural phenomenon. Star Trek was a television series that inspired developments in science and technology, broke social barriers, and transported viewers around the globe to new adventures and uncharted frontiers. Berg, Heather KadinAaron Harberts and Akiva Goldsman for a conversation and introduction to Discovery.

The panel will be moderated by series guest star Rainn Wilson, who is set to play Harry Mudd, the charismatic conman and intergalactic criminal first introduced in Star Trek: The Original Series.

Me want to the 3Doodler Trekkie Style

ST-pens1_details.jpg

3Doodler

I’m ready to celebrate all things Star Trek as I count down the days for the premier of Star Trek: Discovery on CBS Access. 3Doodler has been inspired with their Star Trek Crew Edition Pen sets that are a love note to the original Star Trek series and Star Trek: The Next Generation. They are available for a limited time for only $99.99 and Sulu cool! Even George Takei is looking to doodle a few Vulcan ears for himself!

The videos make it look like someone with two left thumbs like myself can live out my fantasy to seek new worlds!

You can also buy the Create Star Trek Project Kit for $24.99 that has a special Star Trek Project Guide. The kit projects include Vulcan ears, Klingon forehead and Star Trek & Star Trek: TGN Enterprises ships too! Trekkies will love the 3Doodler Star Trek Crew Edition Pen sets! What a great idea for people who already have the 3Doodler pens to live out Trekkie dreams with these How-to-Do it patterns! This is so bringing me back to my childhood.

This Blerd is so excited that we have a premier date and details on how to watch the Star Trek Series. I love Star Trek and watched the original series faithfully as a child. I grew up with the prime directive so am #TeamStarTrek

I’m hoping that I will be able to interview the cast at the upcoming SDCC (pray for me my geeklings!) but no matter what I will be subscribing to CBS Access this fall to binge on the first series led by a woman of color! I’m tuning in for Sonequa Martin and Michelle Yeoh since i’m all for WOCGP (Women of Color Girl Power) but can’t resist Doug Jones (not that I can recognize him .. guffaw).

The new series is paying homage to the original Gene Roddenberry prime directive but is pushing the envelope with some drama amongst the Star Fleet staff. Not that I can blame them being on a ship with the same people has to have some drama! You know people are dating, breaking up, gossiping and just not liking all of their co-workers! it’s human and non human nature! I’m hoping that someone will be a little TOO ambitious and cause some trouble between our captain and her #2!

If you are in the USA CBS is giving a taste with the first episode being broadcast on CBS but after that you have to pay a fee to watch it on CBS All Access. This doesn’t bother me since I have streaming cable and don’t usually have access to CBS anyway. I like a few shows on CBS but not enough to subscribe (still miss Brain Dead such a fun show but not a good match for CBS audience). Hopefully this will not be the only series worthy to watch exclusively on the platform and that they will have a good companion series to keep fans tuning in.

See below for how to see the series and leave a comment on if you plan to subscribe to CBS Access to watch Star Trek: Discovery.

Live Long and Prosper

The series premiere will also be available on-demand on CBS All Access and the second episode of the series will be available on the service that same night immediately following the broadcast premiere.

After premiere night, all new episodes will be available on-demand weekly on Sundays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in the U.S. The 15-episode season will be released in two chapters. The first eight episodes will run from Sunday, Sept. 24 through Sunday, Nov. 5. The season will then resume with the second chapter debuting in January 2018.

Canada Schedule

Space Channel will launch the first two episodes of Star Trek: Discovery on Sunday, September 24 at 8:30 PM ET. The first eight episodes will run from Sunday, September 24 through Sunday, November 5. The season will then resume with the second chapter in January 2018. Every episode will also be available to Space subscribers on the newly launched Space GO app, in addition to being available on Space.ca and participating On Demand channels. Star Trek: Discovery will also stream exclusively in Canada on CraveTV, with full scheduling details to be released in the coming weeks.

Rest of the World Schedule

Netflix will launch Star Trek: Discovery on Monday, September 25 to countries outside of the U.S. and Canada. The first eight episodes will run from Monday, September 25 through Monday, November 6 with the second chapter in January 2018.

Star Trek: Discovery will follow the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new lifeforms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.
