I can’t believe it’s the final season of Star Wars Rebels! The one-hour premier episode ‘Heroes of Mandalore: Parts One and Two’ is this Monday, October 16th. The fourth and final season of “Star Wars Rebels” will have five airings of the “Heroes of Mandalore: Parts One and Two” throughout the day (12:30am, 3:00am, 7:30am, 5:30pm and 9pm EDT/PDT) on Disney XD and the DisneyNow App.
Sabine is back to rescue her father from the Empire but this time she has Ezra, Kanan, and she’s leading an army of Mandalorians! But the Empire has resurrected a devastating weapon to use against the rebels and Sabine is torn between destroying or using it to fight them.

The episode will be directed by Back to the Future alum Lea Thompson who returns to direct her second episode set to air Wednesday, Oct. 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

A new adventure for Luke and Leia begins this December
This mini series will focus on fan favorite Captain Phasma and will introduce rogue archaeologist Doctor Aphra in a galaxy far far far away. The stories will keep fans excited about the new film as well as enrich Star Wars mythology. It’s written by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker (Star Wars: Join the Resistance) and Mike Mayhew (Star Wars, The Star Wars) is the artist as they explore the mineral planet Crait.
Fans will get to know Crait in Star Wars: the Last Jedi as the Resistance and First Order fight for dominance when the new film premiers this December. But that wasn’t the first time the planet was a battleground for the galaxy between the Empire and Rebels. Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa first led the rebellion to the planet as the searched for a new Rebel Alliance Base. This mini series will reveal earth chattering news and may cause you to look at the universe a little differently!

White, “Tying the new sequel series in more tightly with the original trilogy era, and helping make the Galaxy Far Away a little more fleshed out. The MY LITTLE PONY brand is returning to Comic-Con this year with extra special activities for everypony as Hasbro anticipates the exciting premiere of MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE, which will be released by Lionsgate on October 6th. Making her premiere at the Hasbro booth will be a dazzling eight-foot tall statue of Songbird Serenade; fans can get up close to the new character, voiced by singer-songwriter Sia in MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE. Fans can also dive into Seaquestria with a one-of-a-kind photo opportunity or get “Ponified” at the Hasbro booth at special “Ponification Stations” where make-up artists will apply Cutie Marks and “ponified” hair and nails for fans of all ages.
The MY LITTLE PONY panel on Friday at 10:30 a.m. will feature the cast and creatives behind MY LITTLE PONY: THE MOVIE and will include a sneak peek at the upcoming film followed by a Q&A. MAGIC: THE GATHERING
This year, MAGIC: THE GATHERING fans will be treated to a series of high profile autograph sessions at the Hasbro Booth with game designer James Wyatt at 4:00 p.m.on Thursday, head designer Mark Rosewater at 10:00 a.m. and artist Tyler Jacobson at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, and artist Brandon Holt at 11:00 a.m.on Saturday. Holt illustrated the screen print of Nicol Bolas, produced in collaboration with Mondo and part of the brand’s Comic-Con exclusive 2017 Planeswalker Pack. The exclusive also includes six Planeswalker cards with artwork from Vincent Proce. The set will retail for $180 and is available at the Hasbro Toy Shop.
Rosewater will also appear at a one-man panel on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Room 25ABC in which he re-creates his popular blog about MAGIC: THE GATHERING, “Blogatog,” and participates in an audience Q&A.
Hasbro will offer fans several exciting brand experiences surrounding their favorite Super Heroes

Nothing reminds me of the passing of time more than the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars and that the AARP Magazine has a special article in the April Issue. I’m not quite old enough to subscribe to AARP but I’ve loved Star Wars since I was a child and love to learn about the beloved series.
The article will have Star Wars trivia in a special article that will be full of fun facts from the past forty years if you are a member of the Empire or part of the Rebel Forces or a Jedi! The article will not just talk about the original trilogy but the new films as well. The facts will include how they got the TIE fighter’s engine with sound editors blend an elephant’s trumpeting call with the swoosh of a car driving through puddles. If you stay till the credits in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story you’ll see that it took almost 2,000 people to bring it to the screen. If you look closely at the Phantom Menace (1999) Senate scene you’ll notice that a few aliens look like E.T. cousins! If you want to learn about the rest of the Star Wars facts you’ll have to pick up the latest issue of the AARP Magazine (April).
I saw Rogue One and was intrigued by the Rebel Freedom Fighter Saw Gerrera played by Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker. I am very excited to get to know Saw better when he joins the Ghost Rebels Kanan, Hera, Sabine, Zeb and Ezra to fight the Empire.
“It’s an incredible honor to have Forest Whitaker play Saw in ‘Rebels,'” says series executive producer Dave Filoni. “Forest did a great job at capturing Saw in a way that is a bit mad, a bit crazed, a bit afraid, but also a bit sympathetic. He sees something coming, but no one will take action before it’s too late.”
If you are getting confused about what time period the Disney XD series fits in the Star Wars film history it’s a prequel to the new film Rogue One. Forest will be voicing Saw Gerrera (from the film) in the debut episode “Star Wars Rebels: Ghosts of Genesis, Parts One & Two” that premiers Saturday, January 7th (8:30-9:30 PM EST).
It’s very exciting to hear from Dave and the team behind the animated series that is enriching the Star Wars mythology! Dave’s work on Clone Wars and Rebels is such a labor of love from a fanboy who grew up to work with George Lucas. Dave’s work on the series is a bridge for not only the films but also to fans young and old. What I love about the series is that they give us an opportunity to delve into characters and stories that can unfold as only a weekly series can as opposed to a film with a finite amount of time.
The character of Saw Gerrera was first introduced in the TV series “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” (2008-2015) as a guerrilla fighter for his home planet. Created by George Lucas, Saw received training from the Jedi – Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano – and served as an early harbinger of the Rebel Alliance, an assortment of disparate groups coming together to fight for a common cause.

Nissan has done something no other film and car company collaboration has done. They have the very first Star Wars branded automobile with the 2017 Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition package.
If you have seen the Nissan commercial you may have thought is the Nissan Rogue IN the new film??? ‘No it is not says Jeremy Meadows, Senior Manager who worked with Lucas Films to bring the crossover to dealerships across North America. The commercial uses the Nissan navigation system to keep the driver safe in a galactic war zone from the new film. It’s quite mesmerizing so I’ve watched it a few times as I count the days to the premier.
Of course now I’m counting down the days and trying to save money for the down payment of this limited edition crossover. As you can see from the video it’s not in your face but instead has simple touches that are noticeable by fan boys/girls but the average person may not realize what rear images mean but the nameplate … well that’s an easy giveaway for even the most casual fan. You can order the special edition starting at $28,950 (front wheel) that comes standard with Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance logos for the D-pillar, Rogue One badges on the front doors, backlit Star Wars doorsill plates, Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire logos in the cupholders and logo floor mats.
This trim is only available in Magnetic Black and Glacier White but both colors come with the numbered full-size Death Trooper helmet that will be mailed once you pick up your Rogue from the dealership. If you want to order the Rogue in All Wheel drive that will be an additional price.
Do not hesitate to add your name to the list of Jedi, Rebel, Mord Sith or Empire lovers since only 5000 will be produced for the U.S. market and additional 400 for Canada. I checked on the Nissan site but they don’t have the pre-order option up quite yet.
