What a great low key Sunday. I enjoyed meeting Rachel for brunch at the M Street Café in Santa Monica. My friend got her favorite tuna dish and I decided to try the pancakes. I ordered one blueberry pancake (super yummy), a scrambled egg and three slices of their perfectly cooked crispy smoked bacon! Yummy and the perfect portion size to break my fast!
It was so nice to have a perfectly warm day here in Southern California (not too warm or too cool it was just right). The traffic was super easy because of the Emmys Award Ceremony being downtown. So the drive to Santa Monica and even parking was super easy! SCORE one for me! LOL
As you can see I decided to wear something a little sexy so I had on an old pair of Lane Bryant denim capris, with Stuart Weitzman silver thong sandals and a Caslon T-shirt from Nordstrom with stone/crystal detailing around the neck (am so happy I’ve lost enough weight to fit a large t-shirt!!! Yahoo) for a bit of bling and sparkle and a pair of Swarovski crystal Liz Palacios earrings from Nordstrom Rack. So a great mix of feminine sparkly touches with casual flair!
My makeup was GREAT I am so in love with not having to wear glasses after my lasik surgery earlier this year. I’m still not used to my eyes taking center stage on my face. But am of course playing them up with my L’Oreal HiP makeup line and Make Up Forever powder. I had Flashy (318) Bright Shadow Duo with the light color as an allover base and the teal in the crease of my eyes and at the corner, Teal Kohl eyeliner, and blendable blushing crème in coquette (202) a nice soft bright pink color. I had to purchase it on eBay since L’Oreal discontinued HiP Blushes. As you can see my eyelashes are so long that they frame my bright brown eyes perfectly so am using L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara in Black (970) and my favorite HiP color presso lipgloss in 480 Snazzy that made my lips look super sexy! I wanted to cut down on shine so used Black Opal oil absorbing pressed powder in Truffle (14) and Make Up Forever HD Powder to set my makeup.
I than took a long walk to enjoy the sun, cool ocean breezes and for people watching. I decided to have a massage at the Brookstone store in SM since I LOVE the massagers they have at the store. I swear once I get an extra $200 am going to buy one but am scared I’ll never leave my apartment again! Ha
On the way back to my car I decided to stop back at the M Street Café for a chocolate chip cookie with sea salt and a cup of milk for later on tonight. Yummy[slideshow]
