I love free fridays from Barnes & Nobles but not YA books (usually) so won’t download this selection BUT for those who do like coming of age, teen girl stories that are about friendship this is the book for you! It’s a sweet book about three girls from GA who are brought together from different walks of life to work at a Peach Farm over the summer. It sort of reminds me of growing up in IA and friends working over the summer on farms shucking/picking corn. Sadly (well happily) I had bad allergies so couldn’t work at farms and get the tan of my life! Good reading and I’ve included additional free downloads for your reading pleasure!

I recommend Dangerous Angels by Francesca Lia Block. This collection of “fairy tales”—following the lives of complex and wounded young people living in L.A.—is probably what inspired me, more than anything else, to write YA fiction. These are such unique stories told in such beautiful language; even Block’s sentences are works of art.
