I saw this on the dineLA Calendar and wanted to pass it along to those who are looking for a place to eat for Christmas Even and on Christmas Day.  I recommend you grab holiday dinner at Drago Centro downtown Los Angeles.  The food is DELICIOUS, it’s beautifully decorated and has wonderful staff.

The Christmas table at Campanile represents all that’s good about the holidays: crisp linens, sparking wine and tinkling glasses, a succulent roast goose, and figgy pudding. This Christmas Eve, celebrate like a real Italian and feast on seven fishes with Chef Celestino Drago. Drawing on the Southern Italian tradition of eating seafood on Christmas Eve, Drago Centro will present a light and healthful alternative to the hearty but often heavy Christmas feast. The seven course menu will feature items such as Crispy Salt Cod, Maine Lobster Cappuccino, and Pistachio Semifreddo.

Il Covo offers menus of elegance and charm for Christmas dining in the Mediterranean home and garden of this new restaurant. Milanese Chef Roberto Maggioni created a prix fixe tasting menu featuring items such as Crudi Misti with Tuna, Yellowtail, Branzino; Squid Ink Risotto Sette Mari; Rack of Venison with a Port Reduction and Roasted Sunchockes; and Pandora. The complete à la carte menu will also be available.

Celebrate Christmas Eve at Joe’s with menu selections such as Bluefin Tuna Tartare accompanied by Salad of Cucumber and Roma Tomatoes, with Preserved Lemons and Lemon Oil; Father Christmas’ Standing Prime Rib of Beef, Puffed Yorkshire Pudding, Carrots Pulled from Arroyo Grande, and Roasted Brussels and Shallots to Boot; and Santa’s Best Egg Nog Semi Freddo, Spiced Chocolate, Sugar Cookie Crumbles, and the Season’s Spiced Walnuts.

LA Market Restaurant by Kerry Simon celebrates the holidays with three-course, prix fixe menus that showcase Simon’s spin on classic holiday dishes, influenced by the restaurant’s signature contemporary comfort cuisine. On Christmas Eve, the menu includes Roasted Chestnut Soup with spiced cream, apple flan, and jamon Serrano; and Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast with celery root, date bread pudding, and dried cherry chutney. On Christmas Day, LA Market features Harris Ranch Sirloin with truffle parmesan potato terrine and pearl onion-bacon jus; and Roasted Apple Cheesecake with cinnamon pecan maple praline.

Celebrate the holidays with a seasonally inspired, multi-course “Cena di Natale” (Christmas supper) menu, crafted by Executive Chef Gianfranco Minuz. Featuring Italian winter ingredients, such as chestnuts, artichokes, and veal, the specials will be offered alongside an optional wine pairing menu ($25) and a seasonal dessert ($11).

Mezze: A Very Jewish Christmas Eve

This Christmas Eve, feast on an authentic array of house made, Eastern Mediterranean edibles at Mezze. Drawing on some childhood favorites, Chef Micah Wexler has crafted a not-so-traditional Christmas Eve spread sure to encourage schmoozing, schmaltzing and good cheer. In addition to their regular menu, Mezze will be offering the following fare in celebration of a Jewish Christmas Eve: Wild Salmon, Grandma’s Chopped Chicken Livers, Smoked Sablefish, Matzoball Soup, Pastrami, Potato Knish, and Shawarma.

Naya Sunset

Christmas Eve at Naya promises to be a culinary and celebratory journey. The elegant five-course menu features an Angel’s Delight cocktail, assorted Samosas, Green Salad with Pomegranate Vinaigrette, Black Lentil Stew, Ginger Curry and a Lamb Carving Station with Tandoor Ginger Cornbread and Naya Rice. Holidays are Happier at Providence. Celebrate Christmas Eve with a beloved Providence tradition, the “La Vigilia-The Feast of the Seven Fishes” menu. Chef Michael Cimarusti has created seven different seafood varieties inspired by his Grandmother Josephine and Great Grandmother Domenica Cimarusti, such as stuzzichini di mare, stracciatella con aragosta, and striped bass alla griglia.
