Cherry the Geek TV caught up with Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett star Ming-Na Wen at the 51st Annual Saturn Awards where she presented Lucasfilm Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni the George Pal Memorial Award.
“Dave is truly a remarkable human being,” said Wen. “He works non-stop and he never complains about it. He loves everything Star Wars and is a dreamer and a believer about making things that make people feel good and he is so deserving of this award tonight and I’m so happy to be presenting it to him.”
Wen also eulogized her Mandalorian co-star Carl Weathers who had passed away just days earlier. “Carl Weathers–for all of the people who have had the fortune of meeting him and talking to him–and for me, becoming a friend of his–the talent of this man–the humbleness of this man–the heart, the generosity–he’s always your cheerleader. He’d always ask ‘How are you doing? How are you feeling? Everything good?’ He was just the most genuine, wonderful, iconic person.”
