SDCC@Home Sunday Schedule

Spread the love

Sundays schedule brings a close to Comic-Con@ Home. Here are a few of the gems that I will be tuning into.

Motherland: Fort Salem: A World of Magic, Action, and Intrigue
Creator Eliot Laurence and the cast of Motherland: Fort Salem gather to discuss the epic first season and a look forward to season two, which expands the rich world we’ve come to know. Panelists from the fan-favorite series include Taylor Hickson, Ashley Nicole Williams, Jessica Sutton, Demetria McKinney, Amalia Holm, and Lyne Renee. The conversation will be moderated by TVGuide.com’s Lindsay MacDonald.

YA Fantasy and the Power of Storytelling
Four authors from Fierce Reads: L.L. McKinney (The Nightmare-Verse series), Hafsah Faizal (We Hunt the Flame), Katy Rose Pool (The Age of Darkness series), and Alex London (The Skybound Saga series), come together to discuss their writing, favorite fantasy novels, how escapism can equal self-care, and why fantasy is the perfect vehicle for social commentary. Moderated by Preeti Chhibber (Marvel: Avengers Assemble #1).

Coming to FOX in Fall 2020, Next arrives at Comic-Con@Home with a sneak peek of the thrilling opening scene of the propulsive, fact-based thriller about the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence that combines pulse-pounding action with an examination of how technology is invading our lives and transforming us in ways we don’t yet understand. Next stars John Slattery (Mad Men) as a Silicon Valley pioneer, who teams with cybercrime agent Fernanda Andrade (The First), to fight a villain unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Panelists will include creator and executive producer Manny Coto (24), John Slattery, Fernanda Andrade, Michael Mosley, Jason Butler Harner, and Eve Harlow (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) for a fascinating conversation about the new series and how AI and technology infiltrates all of our lives, moderated by Thrillist’s Esther Zuckerman.

V.E. Schwab Shades of Magic Comics Panel
Torn straight from the universe of V.E. Schwab’s best-selling Shades of Magic novel series – now in the works with Sony for a smash hit movie adaptation- the final chapter of V.E. Schwab’s Shades of Magic comic book trilogy hits stores in July 2020. In this special spotlight panel, New York Times best-selling author V.E. Schwab and artist Enrica Eren Angiolini discuss this hotly anticipated graphic novel, the final installment of Prince Maxims adventures.

Red Dwarf: The Promised Land
Chris Barrie (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider), Craig Charles (Coronation Street), Robert Llewellyn (MI: High), and creator/director Doug Naylor (Spitting Image) discuss all things Red Dwarf including the upcoming Red Dwarf: The Promised Land launching on BritBox July 26, in a Q&A moderated by Kyle Anderson (senior editor) from The Nerdist.

Tor Teen: Own Your Magic
From journeying under the stars to learning what makes you extraordinary, join Tor Teen authors TJ Klune (The Extraordinaries), Mark Oshiro (Each of Us a Desert), Bethany C. Morrow (A Song Below Water), and Sarah Henning (The Princess Will Save You), and Charlie Jane Anders (Victories Greater Than Death) as they discuss the power behind owning your magic.
