Donate School Supplies at Mobile Homestead and Receive FREE 2-for-1 Admission to Mike Kelley
The school holidays are almost upon us and this is usually the time families think about summer fun and vacations, not about buying backpacks and school supplies! But for local nonprofit School on Wheels, who operate year round, helping homeless children with their education means that they need the basics, like crayons, paper and pencils to help their students keep learning all summer long.

The following are items that every child needs in order to succeed in school. Please note – We only accept and distribute new backpacks and the following school supplies:

backpacks | spiral ring notebooks | school uniforms or uniform certificates | crayons and markers | colored pencils; pens | pencil sharpeners | school binders (2″ or smaller) | erasers (assorted colors, shapes and sizes) | homework folders | flash cards (multiplication & division) | USB flash drives | computers and/or computer monitors | laptops – 2008 and newer | mini staplers and staples | mechanical pencils | pencil boxes or pouches | school and scientific calculators – preferably solar | graphing calculators – new or used | 3-ring paper (college and wide-rules) | book covers | subject dividers | arts and crafts materials | atlases | gift certificates and vouchers for backpacks, books and supplies.

Offer only good at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. Donations must be new and included on the donation list above. Two-for-one museum admission is with the purchase of one general admission ticket. Donation must be made by 5pm, June 12.

Mobile Homestead in Los Angeles is made possible by Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts in collaboration with MOCA.
