The women are coming out swinging with this tale of immortals protecting humans
Andy (Charlize Theron) is back with her immortal team to protect the world as guiding well her mentee Nile (KiKi Layne) and I can’t wait for The Old Guard 2! I found the first movie to be a huge blast with great action, an intriguing story based on the Image Comics Graphic Novels. That fans can buy the novels in hardcover and paperback editions for old and returning viewers.
I watched the trailer, and Discord (Uma Thurman) is channeling all the anger and revenge to take out EVERYBODY. I am looking forward to the expansion of the women-led action universe as we see Andy fighting as a mortal, Nile adjusting to this new war, and Quynh ticked the hell off after being drowned for how long!
You can’t go wrong with a trailer that conveys the pace of the film, snippets of great fight scenes, hints of camaraderie, and curiosity about new cast members without giving away everything! I’ll have my popcorn and drink plopped in front of the couch this July 2nd!
