I’m so darned jealous of kids! They have the best games nowadays!
I like to keep my mind busy and have always had a weakness for games (am a kid at heart). So have been playing lots of games on my phone, laptop and well Nintendo Switch ACNH but have been getting kind of bored with them. So I was looking online for some new games that might get my brain juice flowing. I stumbled on the site Plays and it looked like it might be a good way to while away a afternoon. I got sucked in super quickly with the good selection of free online video games.
Looking at Plays they have so many games for free that it will keep you entertained for hours! They have PowerPuff Girls, Adventure Time, Zombie, puzzle, racing, education and so many that I can’t list them but for sure have sent the site to my friends trying to figure out how to keep their kids busy with online education, social distancing and the gradual opening up for summer.
I first started to play some of the math games for kids (what can I saw math isn’t a strong skill for me) and was surprised at how much I remember of my multiplication tables and then surprised at what I didn’t know (I’m kidding I use the calculator all the time on my phone!).
My favorite Math game is Math Skills: Infinite Equation Solving Math Game for Students I’ve gotten very rusty once you get past the easy ones and fought my temptation to use a calculator but instead forced myself to work through the problems. I remember 7 x 3 easy as pie but 7 x 5 shook me <ha ha> but still a fun game.
I have a weakness for zombies AND am a slow typist so have been getting some practice with Zombie Typing Practice Game for Kids this was super fun and easy (for me) till level 9! Fast zombies are the worst <ha ha> My accuracy isn’t the best but this is such a fun way to practice!
I haven’t played checkers in years and had forgotten how much fun it is to try to figure out the perfect move! So, I’ve played Checkers for Kids Online Board Game vs Computer a bunch of times but still haven’t quite gotten the hang of beating the computer! I’m beginning to think my dad let me win all the time as a child <guffaw> since I get caught in a pincher!
I’ve really been having a blast exploring Plays and all the new and old games they have online. It’s a great way to keep your mind and fingers busy and the options for teaching gamification to teach your kids math, spelling, and typing must be great for families. I’m childfree so all the games are for MEEE on my laptop <guffaw> but am a kid at heart (does that count?)!
