We’re renaming this week’s Free Fridays, “Three Fridays.” Instead of one free title for you to explore, we’re offering the first book in three exciting series.

Irene Hannon’s Fatal Judgment features an intriguing premise: U.S. Marshal Jake Taylor has faced down a lot of challenges in his career, but his newest assignment may be the worst yet. Jake’s tasked with protecting federal judge Liz Michaels. It’s not her politics he objects to, it’s the fact that she was once married to his best friend and the marriage did not end well. Like any good romantic thriller, though, you can be sure that sparks will fly when these two head-strong characters go toe-to-toe.

In Too Close to Home by Lynette Eason, a talented FBI agent, Samantha Cash, is sent to a small town to track down a merciless serial killer. Samantha teams up with homicide detective Connor Wolfe, and it’s going to take every trick in the book  to stop the murderer from striking again. When Samantha becomes entangled in Wolfe’s life, and it soon becomes evident that the detective’s teenage daughter is on the killer’s hit list, the case becomes very personal, very quickly.

Move over, Miss Marple. In Lorena McCourtney’s Invisible, grey-haired amateur sleuth Ivy Malone is using her innocent demeanor to her crime-solving advantage. Ivy may seem unassuming at first glance, but her natural curiosity (some might say, nosiness) comes in handy when cemetery vandals come to town. But what starts as an innocent plan to track down some pranksters soon spins out of control. Is Ivy in over her head?
