LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show Rocks

Take your sweetie to the 2016 LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show at the LA Convention Center to kick off the month of love! This is the biggest baking and sweets convention on the West Coast and this year the event has expanded to 3x the space and 2 days of sampling!

This festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy tastes from local and national sweet companies that can be enjoyed by vegan and gluten-free dessert lovers.

As you can see below the two day event has presentations, classes AND of course tastings! The VIP tickets are sold out for 2016 but general tickets are still available! So if you have a ‘SWEET’ blast this year make sure you buy your tickets early to enjoy the special treats in the the VIP area!

    

 

Your entry includes:
Sample hundreds of delicious sweet creations from local and national brands alike. Plenty of gluten-free and vegan options, too!

A packed culinary celebrity guest lineup from the stars of YouTube, Masterchef, Next Food Network Star, Chopped, The Cooking Channel.

Our Saturday headliner is Chef Ron Ben-Israel, world famous “King of Cakes” and star of Food Network’s “Sweet Genius”! 

Our Sunday headliner is Rosanna Pansino, the superstar host, creator and star and author of “Nerdy Nummies”.

Hands-on cookie and cake decorating classes. Expand your skills with fondant, buttercream, sugar flowers, blown sugar, candy apple making, chocolate modeling, candy kabob making…

Baking demos and classes from your favorite TV and blog personalities on topics such as Traditional Baking and Vegan Treats. Then, sample everything afterward! YouTube star Sugarcoder will be on hand to teach her kawaii macarons. Fellow YouTube star Sweet Art Made Simple will teach Valentine’s Day cookie decorating. Jo of Cake Poppin will teach Cake Pop 101. Our programming partners New School of Cooking and The Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories will present classes and demos for all to enjoy. More demonstrators and teachers will be announced weekly.

Fan of Food TV? Food Network will film “Cake Masters” with Duff Goldman onsite! We’ve ordered a special cake for some of our lucky attendees to enjoy on Saturday, February 6. We will also reprise our annual Masterchef Stars Take the Stage panel with some of your favorite past contestants joining to share their experiences and give tips on how to become the next reality TV star.

Foodstirs and Foodstirs co-founder Sarah Michelle Gellar have joined us! Foodstirs offers creative baking and craft kits to bring your family together in the kitchen. Its co-founder, Sarah Michelle Gellar, joins us on the Main Stage on Saturday, February 6th to demo the Foodstirs fun with a panel of bloggers.
Decorators’ Showcase to benefit Children’s Hospital Los Angeles with local cake, cookie, cake pop and cupcake decorators showing their most intricate creations.

Amazing Fun & Activity Zones for the Whole Family
Our Otis Spunkmeyer Kids Zone with toddler and big kid play zones, crafts, snacks, games and activities, plus cookie decorating by Baking With Melissa, no-bake dessert demos by A Yummy Future and face painting — all free. Play with CityMoms Pass in the Kids Zone  Sensory stations, crafts, giveaways and goodies too!

Mommy Nearest is bringing free toothbrushes and other dental swag to help you recover from the sugar rush. A Yummy Future will be onsite with no-bake dessert classes for the kids. Otis Spunkmeyer will present tasty samples, games and more!

Two VIP Rooms for our VIP Weekend Pass ticketholders, press, professionals and celebrities. VIPs enjoy early entry to the show both days of the show, free massages by the National Holistic Institute, and an exclusive selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic sips and bites, plus an exclusive collectible canvas tote bag. Baby Bea’s Bake Shop will be on hand with complimentary cupcake decorating for our VIP, Press and Celebrity guests. The VIP Experience also features cake pops by Albert’s Petite Sweets, a sample of Tatrateas tea liqueur, Diama sparkling wine by San Antonio Winery and treats from winners of shows like Cupcake Wars and Cake Wars such as The Cake Mamas and Cream by Crystal, plus celebrity cake artist Bree’s Cakes and Sprinkles Cupcakes (Saturday only for Sprinkles).

How will your 2016 show be different than your 2015 show?

We were blown away by the amazing response to our 2015 show! In 2016, we’re delivering even more exhibitors, more demos and hands-on classes with full audiovisual support, more sugar art to marvel at, and much more shopping for bakers, decorators and foodies. We also have 3x the space, a 2-day schedule, and early entry for VIPs, professionals, and press.

What isn’t changing: our incredible lineup of celebrity guests, endless extravaganza of delicious free samples and family-friendly atmosphere!

I love baking and decorating. Can I do some quality shopping at the event?

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, you may transfer your paid ticket to someone else after purchase. Complimentary tickets given to celebrity guests, contest winners, etc. are non-transferrable.

Can I update my registration information?

I bought multiple tickets but I’m giving some away as gifts. Do I need to change the name on all of them?

We’re only checking IDs for complimentary passes given to press and special guests, so if you buy multiple tickets you can leave your name on each one if you’re not sure who you’re bringing. However, each ticket can be scanned at registration only once, so make sure you only share the ticket with its rightful owner.

What are the show hours?

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6 — VIP/Pro/Press 10 am – 5 pm, General Admission 11 am – 5 pm

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7 – VIP/Pro/Press 10 am – 4 pm, General Admission 11 am – 4 pm

When will you sell out?

VIP Sunday tickets are now onsale but nearly sold out! Sunday General Admission is also sold out! Professional Weekend Passes will be sold out by Monday January 25th. Saturday General Admission looks likely to sell out by Wednesday January 27th.
