Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was one of the biggest blockbuster movies of the year, and I go to interview Sony animator David Han. David is a character animator that just won an Annie Award for Into the Spider-Verse. David has always loved drawing and video games as a kid. He choose to be an animator because of his passion for his craft. David went to the School of Visual Arts in New York for computer animation. He has worked in both television and in movie production. He’s working studios and has freelanced.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was one of the most underrated and award winning movie of 2018. Comic book movies don’t always do well. especially when it comes to cartoon movies. People seem to love them or hate them. Sony Studios picked Animators like David to work on the film. It took more time for this film to be made. Usually six to eight months for an animated film. But this film it took a little over a year. Allot of the scenes David did were actions science which he loves. David also won an Annie Award for the his work behind the film. The Annie awards are the industry inside award show. An Annie award is the most sought out award for an artist.

David has worked in the industry doing many different projects. But the best work to come has even his work with Sony Pictures. David has worked on Angry Birds (2016), Storks (2016), Emoji Movie (2017), Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the film David got a ‘Outstanding Achievement in Character Animation in a Feature Production’.
