Universal is celebrating the Lunar New Year with DreamWorks’ Kung Fu Panda’s Po and Tigress It’s the ‘Year of the Dog’ and they will have a new dragon warrior training show Mr. Ping’s Noddle Shop, MEGATRON speaking Mandarin and so much more from February 10 – 25th. It should be lots of fun and is included in the price of the park admission! 

The Lunar New Year event will be in the center of the theme park in a polygon-shaped piazza that will have customary red Chinese lanterns and plum blossom Wishing Trees. Universal Park guests will enjoy many actives, see the 12 zodiac animal signs and the Jade Palace Performance Stage that will transport you to the animated films with the Dragon Warrior Training Show.

Master Po and dragon warriors will have a fun Kung Fu Panda experience with an interactive martial art demonstration performance. It will also include veteran DreamWorks animators demonstrating practical techniques of drawing their favorite Kung Fu Panda characters as keepsake mementos.

You can enjoy Po’s FAVORITE noodles make by his dad in the noodle shop where guests can enjoy authentic Asian fare and a selection of hot and cold Asian beverages. Or try Dongpo Kitchen restaurant in Citywalk that celebrates modern Sichuan cuisine. It is a taste of China which draws inspiration from Meizhou Dongpo.

But it’s not just food Universal welcomes Hello Kitty with a new shop this Spring 2018 in the Animation Studio area. If you prefer villians a Mandarin-speaking Transformer’s MEGATRON returns to try to destroy humanity with the help of the DECEPTICONS! the 12 ft tall MEGATRON will greet or likely threaten <tee hee> guests in Mandarin as they join the Lunar Year festivities! returns to greet guests at the entry to the festivities. Than see him and the rest of the DECEPTICONS at Universal Studios Hollywood thrill ride, “Transformers™: The Ride-3D.”
