From Academy Award winners James Cameron & Jon Landau, and visionary filmmaker Robert Rodriguez comes ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, an epic adventure of hope and empowerment. When Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this discarded cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. When deadly and corrupt forces come after Alita, she discovers a clue to her past – she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she’s grown to love.
The action-packed film, also starring Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley, and Keenan Johnson has scored $405 million at the global box-office.
Now with hours of extensive special features the home entertainment release takes you behind-the-scenes with James Cameron and Robert Rodriguez to see the journey from Manga to Screen and what it took to bring Alita to life. Plus, go deeper into the universe of ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL, where you’ll learn about the past, the characters of the present, and the thrilling sport of Motorball.
Add ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL to your Digital collection on Movies Anywhere July 9 and buy it on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™, and DVD July 23.

I saw the film ‘Olympus is Falling’ a few years ago in the theatre because of Gerard Butler love <swoon> I have a weakness for a man in a suit and he always fills his out very well <chortle>. Reading the trades it did pretty well worldwide and wasn’t too expensive to produce but I hadn’t realize it did well enough to have a sequel but <yahoo> more Gerard but in LONDON! I’m sure the move will be a delight full of yummy British men with a co-star of London landmarks. Gramercy pictures will release ‘London has Fallen’ nationwide March 14, 2016. The film will star Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Alon Moni Aboutboul, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, Jackie Earle Haley, Melissa Leo, Radha Mitchell, Sean O’Bryan, Charlotte Riley and Waleed Zuaiter. The sequel is written by Creighton Rothenberger, Katrin Benedikt, Christian Gudegast and Chad St. John and the film takes place after the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman also stars as the Vice President of the United States.
Just kidding I remember seeing Ben in Goodwill hunting and between him and Matt Damon .. well most people I knew were saying that Ben was the one to watch. Well Matt turned out to to be the dark horse that stole the pennant with his bold choices from playing a young man seduced by THE Las Vegas lounge singer (Behind the Candelabra) to his playing against type as a smart action hero (Bourne series) it always seemed as if Ben’s decision to go ‘Hollywood’ with parts that are expected from the average leading man. He’s had so many near misses of flaming out from the awful comic book movie Daredevil to Gigli (Jlo ‘romantic’ comedy) that are the ‘bankable’ movies that Hollywood felt would be hits (but always misses) with his movie star looks but just never connected with audiences. As he’s matured his decision to chart his own path with directing and self casting (his prerogative) to create roles where he’s able to shine it seems that maybe playing darker richer roles is his sweet spot. Now if only we won’t have another Daredevil disaster with his newest comic book movie role ‘Batman vs Superman’. But until that movie arrives I’m looking forward to Gone Girl that looks a lot it’s based on the murder of Laci Peterson by her husband Scott (on death row convicted of her murder) but unlike real life this looks full of twists and turns with red herrings of is she really dead or did she fake it??? WHO killed her the mystery man or her husband. This is on my list of movies to see with a big bag of popcorn!
GONE GIRL — directed by David Fincher and based upon the global bestseller by Gillian Flynn — unearths the secrets at the heart of a modern marriage. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his beautiful wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick’s portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?
